Is Ephraim by any means related to Alonson R. Puffer born 1842 in Orange MA and lived in Milan, DeKalb, IL? The reason I ask is that my great grandmother was adopted by this family. Alonson married Emma Ranney in 1872.
Possibly, although I’ve not traced all the members of the Puffer family down. The image for the post was pulled as an illustration, although this Ephraim is probably related to my ancestor of the same name who died in the same town in the 1760s. There may be some Puffer genealogies online. The ancestor table I’ve got online contains my Puffer line.
