New York City Vital Records
New York City Update: “The New York City Municipal Archives is undertaking a mass digitization project to provide online access to 13.3 million historical birth, death, and marriage records.” The time period is 1855-1949. I have not done any actual searching of these as I don’t have NYC family and I already spend enough time on my actual problems, but for those of you who have relatives in the city, this is exciting news. It is indicating that 70% of the digitization is complete.
